Renewable energy sources and more energy efficient ways is the key for creating a clean energy future for not only the nation, but also the world.

We as a nation currently rely heavily on coal, oil, and natural gas for its non-renewable energy. Fossil fuels like oil are nonrenewable, that is, they draw on dwindling resources, becoming too expensive or too environmentally damaging to retrieve. In contrast, renewable energy such as wind and solar energy are constantly replenished and will never run out.

Solar

Most renewable energy comes either directly or indirectly from the sun. Can be used for heating and lighting.

Wind

The sun's heat also drives the winds, whose energy is captured using wind turbines.
